What's good on TV?

Since there is nothing good on "tv", aka streaming shit that you have to pay way too much to enjoy the one series you might be interested in. I decided to look at my "backlog" and choose something I have never watched, or have to finish.
I am currently on my Buffy/Angel rewatch, and I enjoy watching both. I realized that instead of trying some new shit, and potentially not enjoying it, I am turning back time and choose something that I never watched back in the day.
Here are some of the things I am interested in:
- Babylon 5
- Farscape
- X-Files (needs to finish this, I think last time I was at middle of season 1)
- Stargate
- Fringe
- Star Trek (from TOS to TNG - watched some of it)
As you can see, this is heavy on the sci-fi/mystery side of things. I think I started watching Farscape, like 18-20 years ago, but never went far, pun intended…
Some others:
- True Detective - season 1
- Sons of Anarchy
- Hannibal
- The Americans
- Sopranos
- Deadwood
I looked through Empire Online's recent The 100 Best TV Shows Of All Time, and I was disappointed that neither Angel or Daredevil was on the list. The later one is especially a headscratcher, since it is the best Marvel live action product ever made, and will stood the test of time, similarly to Sopranos, and many others. The very essence of being hero and struggling with the burden of your past actions is present in both of these series. But of course we know that nowadays Hollywood has weird stance on heroes, and they attempt to make them villains (see one of the best examples, John Walker in "Falcon and the Winter Soldier").
I also doesn't understand why House of Cards is not on the list? Or the Yes, Minister series? Did they try go apolitical here, or just tried to not mention Kevin Spacey?
Just like with video games, I think modern TV is going shit slowly, but surely. I still recommend "Ripley" because that series is beautiful, character driven and I must visit Italy some day…
