Aliens vs Predator 2010 no sound fix

So recently I bought the 2010 version of Aliens vs Predator after I watched Gmanlives reviews about the series. I really liked the first 2 games, they are classic in my opinion (while not perfect of course).

After install and setting up a GE-Proton version (I used 8.3 at the time of writing), I started the game, it installed a few things, and I had no sound.

Quick search and for some reason if you alt+tab out of the game, sounds disappear. So the solution is to start it in windowed mode. Right click on the game in Steam, choose Properties -> General -> Launch Options and then copy & paste this in the box:

-subwindow -winsize 1920x1080

Of course if you are using different resolution, modify the last bit.
