Some new Lego sets for 2023

Date: 2023-01-02

I know I promised you guys my little report about two technic Lego sets I got for myself for Christmas, but I was lazy, and I got high on Christmas food. Don't blame me, blame my family. xD

Speed Champions

Anyway I love watching Lego videos, and one channel a particularly like is RacingBrick. He already did a review of the early January release of Nissan GT-34 Skyline from 2 Fast and 2 Furious. I still haven't seen those movies, but I like the car. I think this is a must buy for me, although the sidestickers I think already have a nightmares about them.

And here is his video about the same car, but talking with the lead designer Chris Stamp.

RB has another talk with Chris about additional cars for Speed Champions this year. Some incredible looking hypercars, some which doesn't even have a name in real life. There are some new parts too for these cars, so it's not like the designers just copy some stuff from previous projects.

Technic

Looks like we have a good lineup for the first part of the year. A firefighter aircraft, a motorcycle from The Batman movie (still haven't seen it), a Nascar Chevrolet and the biggest one is a Ford GT 2022.

I would say, I am very interested in the Nascar and the motorcycle. The Ford is nice, but will be out of my price range for sure. The motorbike is big enough for put it out somewhere.

Others

Beside the Speed Champions and technic stuff that I am interested in, the below video has some nice things:

I think the Birdhouse (31143) is cute, and you will get 3 in 1 set. I like the Harry Potter house stuff, but still not buying. Lots of minifigs, at least. Gaming tournament truck (60388) is has this weird but loveble vibe, still not buying. I like the Money Tree, looks like an even smaller Bonsai tree.
