Potoo, the Ghost Bird

The bird, called Potoo can be find in the tropical regions of Central and South America. They are nocturnal insectivores, they like to eat large flying insects.

The Potoo use clamoufage during the day to avoid predators, by perching upright on tree trunks.

There can be seven different species of this bird, and their size vary from 30 to 70 cm.

They have nice big eyes, which is not just for show, their vision is excellent which helps them hunt during the night.
