Some games from new Fanatical shooter bundle
Date: 2025-07-17
It was a nice surprise, as Fanatical made a nice bundle for shooter fans recently. I check their page occasionally, and they have a nice offering. Here are some games I bought, and one game that I already have, as a recommendation. Enjoy the Fanatical shooter bundle (not an affiliate link)
Dead Trash
Interesting title, which refers to people who barely survives in the quarantine zone in a city, by the government. I like that it starts with a little comic, setting up the world we are in. We start with a light hammer, but there might be other weapons as well. I am not going to lie, the shotgun in the trailer convinced me to get this game. Plus DosmanGames are excellent publisher for indie devs. The game will be probably 2-3 hours long, bitesized games are welcome, in the age of 30-50 hour long movie games.
Amid Evil/DUSK
This is really good bundle within the bundle. It is the also the best of the bundle, so make sure if you don't have it, include it. You get the keys separately, if you have one of the games, you can give it away or something. In Amid Evil you are very fast, it mostly reminds me of Heretic, with magic, different mana, and there are some interesting weapons, like the power of planets and suns. Different episodes have different enemies, you have to adapt to them. Really great level design, music. Amid Evil is one of the best boomer shooter in the 10 years, if you are a fan, this is a must have in you library.
As for Dusk, it is Dusk. One of the fps games that lead the boomer shooter revolution. Play as Dusk guy, tring to stop the cultists and their leader to do evil things. Lots of nice thing from Quake, and other games, put together really well I think. Music is by Andrew Hulshult, who also did Amid Evil. Level design can be wacky at times, but this is probably the charm of it. One of the few games I streamed back in the day, nowadays the godfather of fps games, John Romero plays it on his. Dusk is chef's kiss fps. I might just replay it, just to get some achievements on Steam.
You will also get a free texture upgrade if you want to play it with a little bit more detailed. Personaly I like the original one.
Mother Hub
This is a pretty new game from April, a horror fps game with full of monsters and mystery. Gameplay looked good on video, so I bought it.
Zero Protocol
I think this one is made by gzdoom engine, and it's a sci-fi shooter, and had enough detail to see what it is all about. It has puzzles and inventory management, so it is a plus.
Rico London
I love the XIII game, the comicbook style, so this game went into the cart very fast. I don't really care for the mixed reviews on steam, if it's fun for a few hours, it's a win. If it's really bad, I didn't spend much on it, so no problem. Going against gangs, can be fun, and it's different from the above games enough.
Already have it: Sprawl
It's an fps in the far future, in a Cyberpunk setting. I already have this game, but I still recommend it. Has similar mobility features like in Doom Eternal, but it also has time slow, that can reveal weak points of enemies, and shoot them. It has a great distopian atmosphere.
