About that Netflix thing
maybe it's time to cancel streaming services?

Recently people got mad, cause Netflix wants you to stop share your account with other people, who are not living with you.
I honestly don't see the problem with it. I mean, it's a DRM service anyway, since you need the internet for it, and you never own any movie or tv show, etc. One more DRM is not gonna hurt people, who wants to never own movies, watching tv shows that are censored, cause of 21st century Gen z sensibility. xD

(Note: I personally haven't used Netflix - not even shared way - cause they deleted an episode of Community, where one of the side characters appeared 15 seconds in blackface makeup for a Dungeons and Dragons session, the kicker is that the character is not even white, he is Asian. That episode is one of the best, that I could possible write a post or two about.)

Maybe people will realize, that Netflix and other streaming services are not good for you. Ever since the streaming crazyness has started, movie and tv show quality went down.
I also looked at Netflix' offering and most of them are actually dark, depressing stuff, no matter if it's fiction or non-fiction. It's probably a cultural shift, to make more nihilistic movies and tv shows. When people constantly depressed via social media and entertainment, they are much more easier to control. That's why you should stop using them, find your own community either preferable locally or the internet.
It's interesting that coming from piracy about 10 years ago, going through the streaming phase of "wow, now we can watch show whenever we want to, just from a web browser", now we are back to an option of piracy since we realize that we don't own anything really when it comes to digital media.
I am personally big fan of collecting my favorite movies and tv shows on physical medium. I don't have Blueray player (and disks are usually pretty pricey here), but I collect DVDs. I hope more people wake up from this digital, streaming nightmare and going back to owning your own copy of whatever you like.
